Frequently Asked Questions

Does this certificate satisfy OSHA requirements?

OSHA requires MEWP operator training under 29 CFR 1910.67 and 29 CFR 1926.453, but points to ANSI A92.24 for the actual training content. This course covers the theoretical/classroom portion -- a workplace-specific practical evaluation by a qualified person at your worksite is also required.

What MEWP types are covered?

Group A and Group B MEWPs across Types 1, 2 and 3, under the updated ANSI A92 classification -- covering both scissor lifts and boom/aerial lifts.

How long is the certificate valid?

3 years, same as forklift certification, sourced from the ANSI A92.24 training standard. Retraining is expected sooner after an accident, unsafe operation, or reassignment to a different MEWP type.

Is training only required for operators?

No -- the updated ANSI standards also require training for supervisors overseeing MEWP operators and for occupants riding in the platform.

How does certifying my whole crew work?

Employers order course credits in advance from the Employer Portal, with volume discounts up to 35% off starting at 5 credits, then assign credits to employees and track every operator's certification and renewal status from one dashboard.

Business/team pricing is also available for employers certifying multiple operators at once.
